Osaka Prefectural Fisheries Experimental Station

Visit Subject:
A video is shown to explain the duties of the fisheries experimental station: observing the sea (preserving the production base and elucidating the productive functions), investigation of fishes (preservation and effective utilization of the resources) and rearing fishes (addition of useful resources). The exhibition includes models of fishing methods used in Osaka Bay, reared fish in tanks, specimens of fish from hatching to releasing. Visitors can also observe actual fryproduction.

To apply:
Please make the tour reservation with Visitors Section, Administrative Division by phone 14 days before the day you wish to visit. In case of groups more than 20 people, please inform us of the purpose of your visit, group name, person in charge, number of visitors, contact address and phone number.

About a 20 minute walk from Tanagawa Station of Nankai Line. Or take Nankai Bus and get off at Tanigawa. About a 5 minute walk from the bus stop.
